in James Halliday's Wine Companion 2011 - Again!
Stephen Shelmerdine has been involved in some of the highest levels of
Australia’s wine industry for many years. A descendent of the Myer
family, Stephen Shelmerdine was involved in the founding of Mitchelton
in Nagambie Lakes in 1969. Stephen was also chairman of the Australian
Winemaker’s Federation from 1995 to 1997, has served on the board of
Petaluma, and was awarded an Order of Australia for services to the wine
industry in 2002.
